the storyteller: Bulan circumcised!

Assalamualaikum,

oke, first of all, this is an old story..

i just dont have time to write it down due to my busy-ness as a housewife..

hehehehe..

since i share this for memory, i try to find some time to share my experience through out the journey with my heroes.

actually, we proceed with the process exactly on 27th of November 2017.

since Bulan had asked to be circumcised at the early age as early as 3 years old, then we decided to make it earlier..

we really want to do it at his 3 yo aged, but many of closed family not agreed with justification he is too small for the process since he is an active baby boy..

then we decided to do it the next year at the age of 4yo..

unfortunately, I GOT PREGNANT that year and laling temok said we should do it the next year instead..

he afraid he cant handled 2 "orang pantang" at one time.

hahaha..

so here we go..
to verify again with laling temok whether we need to proceed or not that year..
furthermore, i have 19 more days of leave balance to be cleared that year which i knew it on July..
when laling temok confirmed then i start to plan and google for the details.

first, i start to check on the circumcision method.

there are few methods now a days, clamping and laser
and we chose laser for Bulan.
if we choose clamping, there are too many types, when i googled there is a clamping process involve 2 times of injections before (the day) and after circumcised (few days after that).
and pros and cons for both method
i want to minimize the pain since he is just 5yo.

second, I tried to search for the clinics that offered this services.
I googled and manually searched in our home area.
we got almost 3 - 4 clinics.
and their offer are different for each clinics.
there is a clinic they offered for baby too which i were interested to go for Bintang too that time.
unfortunately, they only do for clamping method.
which is NOT in my option..

the last clinic we went, their service is much cheaper and if we agreed, we need to book and there is a time set to do the process.
after short discussed, we decided to go with this clinics.
We have been charged RM160 for Laser process including the medicine.
so the date had been set to do it early morning the next day..
i am very nervous but at the same time excited too.

on the way to the clinic

Next day, we sent Bintang to the baby sitter's place to make every process went well.
so at the clinic, Bulan's started to show the mood swing i guess..
hahaha..
he dont even want to stay in the pool and cried all the way process..
then later, we waited outside to be called...
Bulan's turn around 6 to 7 boys before him.

we need to distract him as he started his mood swing

All the process went well, only i dont enter the room during the process because i am too scared and i have the possibility to cry when in the room.
so i waited outside..
from there i can hear Bulan start to cry, loud and loudest..
he even started to scream and keep calling my name..
me, outside the room...
CRYING too okeh...
hahahahahaha...

but Alhamdulillah, everything went well...
the process took around 20 minutes and it will depend on how to cool down the kids.
during the session, i found a 3 year old boy will be joining his 2 elder brothers circumcised...
such a good boy..
currently i am planning to do it for Bintang this year..
hope this can be fulfilled...

How to handle the circumcised kids?
just make sure that the wound has a good air flow, let it free and open (that is why sarung is the best to be put)
cleaning the wound frequently
let them rest well and less move
so when at home, laling temok just let it free..

once the bius gone, then only Bulan started to feel the pain.
laling temok gave him watched the television..
but later on he asked for a phone, then fine..
we can exclude this one time..
hahahaha..

bed rest

the wound start to dry on day 4. but Bulan still takut-takut to walk around the house and only lie down on the bed. but when he decided to get over the bed, he can even go to the shop with his sarung..

1st day out of the house - day 4

The next day, we bought a "seluar khatan" since I need to bring my kids to go for a long distance travel after my uncle's solemnization.
this pants make Bulan more comfortable to walk since this pant is a special made for circumcised boy.
after he wore this pant, YES, he can walk very quick like a normal boy and we also allow him to wear a trousers.
the price during that time is RM49/piece.
I guess nowadays it will cost you guys cheaper than last time i bought.
